Brand New Computer!!!!!

Well, earlier this week I was lucky enough to finally receive my new sexy beast of a computer. It's custom built by my good friend Xuan and all in all, it wasn't all that expensive. For roughly 550, 580, somewhere around there, I got 8GB of ram, Intel Core 2 Quad, GeForce 9600 GSO, 64 bit OS, 750 GB HDD, and oh so much more. I love it and I can't wait to start doing more animations with it.

Cut&Paste Chicago 09

Well last saturday I went to the Chicago Cut & Paste Design tournament and had a pretty good time. I enjoyed seeing the artists compete and hearing the crowd cheer em on as the night went by. Got to see some interesting workflows and concepts. Out of the 2D, 3D, and Motion contest, I gotta say motion was by far the most interesting, granted we weren't allowed to really see their workflow since their competition was 8 hours long compared to everyone else's 20 minutes. Congrats to all the winners. Anyway, here are a couple pics from the event, maybe next year I'll actually compete, hehe. For more info go to cut&paste.

I wonder how much it would cost for one of those huge 50 foot flat screens?

Satellite Eyes

Satellite Eyes from Shannon Daniell-Segilola on Vimeo.
Here's the newest project I've been working on. It's a motion graphics animation called Satellite Eyes. I was inspired by the opening sequence to the Call of Duty 4 Video game, so I decided to make my own version of the opening. I really wish I could upload the full resolution version of this, a lot of color gets muddled and lost at this low resolution size, oh well. Enjoy!!!
